The Legacy of Sir Herbert Baker: Bespoke, British, Beautiful

Herbert Baker was the architect, designer and craftsman that was behind the iconic Bank of England, but he was also the man chosen to design some of the most precious war memorials across the UK, which form the centrepiece of many of our towns and villages.

These memorials had to be designed with care and grace, and most importantly they were made to last for generations – to ensure that we remember. The Baker family are proud to lovingly recreate Herbert’s designs to honour his ability to create a space perfect for commemoration: to pause, reflect, and remember.

Our benches are sturdy and made to last, handcrafted with love, and made with rest and comfort in mind. A place to put on your boots, to enjoy a view, to remember a loved one.

Discover the elegance of handcrafted benches, inspired by the timeless designs of Sir Herbert Baker. At Herbert Baker Furniture, we combine the legacy of English architecture with the beauty of sustainable English oak, creating unique pieces that are not just furniture, but heirlooms.
